Mr. Ruslan Bin Abdul Ghani began in l990 at PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd. Sarawak Operations. This year marked his 29 years with PETRONAS. Prior to his appointment as CEO of PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenstan) Sdn. Bhd, he was assigned at PETRONAS' operations worldwide with a stint in Sudan and Iraq Operations. He had also been assigned to all of the PETRONAS domestic operations in Sarawak, Sabah, Peninsular Malaysia as well as in Kuala Lumpur. This exposed him to various challenges and experiences across the breadth of the organization's upstream value chain. Among others, his memorable contributions were in successfully driving and delivering 1st Oil for Sudan and Iraq Operations safely and ahead of schedule. Prior to his current position, he strengthened the regulation of Malaysia's upstream operators as the Senior General Manager of Production and Operations Management, Malaysia Petroleum management. His accumulated domestic and international experience, coupled with the exposure of being an operator as well as a regulator, has equipped him with the required skills to execute his current duties and collaborate effectively with the company’s various stakeholders including the host authority, other PSA operators and service providers.
