He was born in Addis-Abada (Ethiopia) in 1967 and has been Managing Director of Eni Turkmenistan since August 2019 Experience He has joined the Eni Group in 1993, as a Junior Engineer at Eni E&P, Milan-Italy, and then he spent most of his career abroad, working in all the five continents. In his long professional experience he published several technical papers and procedures, promoting application of new technologies. He managed onshore/offshore oil and gas field operations and projects, ensuring HSE best practices. He was moved back to Italy working in Head Office (1997-1999), as Senior Reservoir Engineer and also in the production districts in Italy, Ravenna, as Reservoir Manager (2002-2004). His career development includes following international projects: From 1995 to 1997, he joined Phillips Petroleum Co., Stavanger – Norway to participate in the Ekofisk field redevelopment project with multi-lateral wells; From 1995 to 1997, he moved back to Italy working in Eni SpA Head Office as Senior Reservoir Engineer; From 1997 to 1999, he moved to the production districts in Italy, Ravenna, as Reservoir Manager; From 1999 to 2002, he was responsible for reservoir and petroleum activities of the Belayim Petroleum Company (Petrobel), Cairo – Egypt; From 2004 to 2006, he was responsible for the Geoscience activities of Eni branch in Iran, Tehran, with daily production target of 2 Billion scf of gas and 280,000 bbl of oil; From 2006 to 2010, he was appointed as Vice President Operations of Eni Australia Ltd. (EAL), Perth – Australia, representing Eni in Board meetings; From 2010 to 2011, he joined Eni Pakistan, Karachi – Pakistan, as Technical Manager and managing operations, technical services and development projects across multiple production assets; From 2011 to 2014, he was Director & Deputy General Manager in the PetroJunín (upstream) and PetroBicentenario (downstream) Companies (Eni, PDVSA) in Puerto la Cruz – Venezuela. Objective of the mix Companies was to exploit the oil reserves of the 424 Km2 Junin-5 block, in the Orinoco extra heavy oil belt In November 2015 up to July 2019, he has been assigned to the position of Vice President, responsible for the North Africa & Middle East industrial development projects concept evaluation and selection. He is Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers since 1995. He graduated from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 1993, Summa cum Laude in Petroleum Engineering.
