Mr. Gökmen Topuz, as of 21.02.2022 works as the Deputy General Manager of Renewable Energy within the General Directorate of Çalık Enerji San. ve Tic. A.S. Mr. Topuz graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Electrical Engineering in 1995, and from Yeditepe University Business Administration Master’s program in 2000, and is still continuing his doctoral studies on Organizational Behaviors at Yeditepe University. At the same time, he continues to work as the Vice Chairman of the Energy Council at TOBB and a visiting professor at the ITU Energy Institute for more than ten years. After working as a project engineer at MAN between 1995 and 1997, he worked as Project Manager and Sales Manager at Wärtsilä company between 1997 and 2001. Between 2001 and 2004, he worked at company Kale Energy, first as the Business Development Director and then as the Deputy General Manager. After working in Piramit Energy company, which he founded between 2004 and 2007, he worked as the Deputy General Manager at Zorlu Energy between 2007 and 2012. After working as Chairman of Board of Directors and Member of Executive Board Süreko of Çimentaş Group Company between July 2012 and February 2013, he worked as the Project General Manager at Enerjisa between April 2013 and November 2014. Mr. Topuz, prior to joining Çalık Enerji, was COO responsible for Operations and Investments at company Polat Energy between December 2014 and March 2022.
