28-year journey with PETRONAS Mr. Ruslan Bin Abdul Ghani began in 1990 at PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd. Sarawak Operations. Subsequent assignments at PETRONAS’ operations worldwide in Sudan, Sabah, Iraq and Peninsular Malaysia has exposed him to various challenges and success across the breadth of the organization’s upstream value chain. Among others, his memorable contributions were in successfully driving and delivering 1st Oil for Sudan and Iraq Operations safely and ahead of schedule. Prior to his current position, he strengthened the regulation of Malaysia’s upstream operators as the Senior General Manager of Production and Operations Management, Malaysia Petroleum Management. His accumulated domestic and international experience, coupled with the exposure of being an operator as well as a regulator, has equipped him with the required skills to execute his current duties and collaborate effectively with the company’s various stakeholders including the host authority and public at large.
